From Your Hands to Ours
Every Cahve piece begins with you — your design, your hands, your imagination. Whether it’s a ring, pendant, or keepsake impression, the wax you return to us holds a story we can’t wait to bring to life.
Once your wax arrives, it’s carefully checked, weighed, and prepared for casting. Every mark, line, and detail is preserved — ready to be immortalised in precious metal.
The Lost-Wax Casting Process
This is where the transformation begins. Your wax is encased in a special plaster mould, heated in a kiln, and replaced with molten silver (or gold, if you’ve chosen it).
The result? A perfect replica of your original wax — but now in solid metal, complete with every unique fingerprint, mark, or impression intact.
It’s a centuries-old process, but one that still feels like magic every time.
Hand-Finished, Polished, and Hallmarked
Once cast, each piece goes through multiple rounds of hand-finishing and polishing.
No machines. No shortcuts. Just time, skill, and a lot of care.
When it’s perfect, it’s sent to the Birmingham Assay Office for hallmarking — a centuries-old guarantee of quality and authenticity. Only then does it return to our workshop for final checks and packing.
Every Piece Tells a Story
What makes Cahve different isn’t just the materials we use — it’s the meaning behind every piece.
Each impression, design, or curve has been shaped by your own hands, then refined by ours.
It’s a true collaboration — between you, and the makers who love turning stories into heirlooms.
