The cost to cast in solid recycled Silver is £100 per ring.
The cost to cast in solid recycled Gold or Platinum would be based on the completed wax weights, ensuring this cost is always unique to the piece you've carved.
We work exclusively with recycled metals, responsibly sourced gemstones and certified diamonds, with laser and hand engraving both beautiful options too.
Recycle or repurpose

We love to reimagine heirloom materials. Repurpose family gold or reimagine precious stones. We can set up a dedicated casting to ensure we use exclusively the gold provided.

You carve your rings with us in our Kelham Island studio. Our bench partners in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter then cast and hand-finish them: casters, silversmiths, goldsmiths, setters and engravers, all passionate about the pieces they bring to life. A small supply chain, a local workforce, and an eco-conscious dream machine.

Once your wedding bands are complete in wax, you'll then select the base metal.
The cost to cast in solid recycled Silver is £100 per ring.
The cost to cast in solid recycled Gold or Platinum would be based on the completed wax weights, ensuring the additional cost is always unique to the piece you've carved. Given the wax carving process, this is often a cost we can control and personalise to budget.
What’s included in the £125 booking cost?
The £125 booking cost covers materials and 3-hours one-to-one studio time.
We'll equip you with the tools, materials and expert guidance required to create something you can't wait to wear.
The additional cost to cast in solid Gold or Platinum would be based on the individual wax weight, ensuring the Gold/Platinum cost is unique to the piece you've carved.
Is this a forge or blacksmith-style workshop?
No, you'll be carving your wedding bands in wax, in our cosy Kelham Island design studio.
Once happy with the ring designs, we'll then send everything to our team in Birmingham. There, in our workshop, our talented teams will bring your wedding rings to life.
How long until we get our wedding rings?
We'd give production 8-10 weeks to work their magic.
We'd recommend booking no later than 12 weeks prior to the wedding date, although we will always do our best to speed things through when we can!
Do we need any jewellery making experience?
None at all - That's all part of the fun! We have now cast over 100,000 customer-carved pieces since we launched in 2016, so you could say, you're in the very best hands!
We'll help you every step of the way, from initial ideas, to carving the perfect wedding bands for you.
How does gold or platinum pricing work?
Silver for both bands is included in the £375. For solid recycled gold (9ct to 18ct, including rose gold) or platinum, we price the upgrade on the weight of your finished waxes, so the cost matches the rings you’ve made.
Two Silver bands are included in the £375 booking cost.
The additional cost to cast in solid Gold (9ct/14ct/18ct) or Platinum would be based on the individual wax weights, which ensures the Gold/Platinum cost is always unique to the piece you've carved.
This is also a cost we can control and personalise to budget. We can help you achieve the designs you have in mind, within budget.
Can we come for the day from Leeds, Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield or Manchester?
Yes. Sheffield is about an hour or less by train from Leeds, Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield and Manchester, and Kelham Island is a short tram or taxi ride from Sheffield station. From Wakefield or Mansfield it’s an easy drive. The session takes about three hours, so there’s time to explore Kelham’s cafés and bars too.
How is the Wedding Studio different from a bespoke engagement ring?
In the Wedding Studio you carve your own wedding bands in wax, together, in one session. Bespoke engagement rings are designed with you by our designer in live CAD, 3D-printed for you to try on, then produced by our workshop team within 6–8 weeks
